
I’m going to assume that you were watching a different video or just do not agree that the statement “something is wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military” is anti-gay. I take major issue with a candidate for president stating that somehow American citizen living openly and truthfully while serving our country is wrong. Which is what Perry did and that is homophobic.
As for the prayer issues, Perry is wrong on so many counts. Kids can pray in school all they want and did that plus had lunchtime Bible study clubs and morning prayer at my school. What cannot happen is for those religious activities to be lead by a authority figure, be mandatory participation or be sponsored by the school. There is no “war on religion”, but that plays well to a christocentric, tea party base when your campaign is failing.
Perry needs to get the facts straight and stop vilifying LGBT people. He has no interest in representing all Americans and I have no interest in seeing him remain or move into any political office.
